Artist-in-Residence
DETROIT
- Jazz
pianist
and
composer,
Chick
Corea,
Artist-in-Residence
for the
2018
Detroit
Jazz
Festival.
Corea’s
accomplishments
in the
music
industry
include
being a
22-time
Grammy
winner,
National
Endowment
for the
Arts
(NEA)
Jazz
Master,
DownBeat
Hall of
Famer
and the
fourth
most
nominated
artist
in
Grammy
history.
In his
role as
Artist-in-Residence,
Corea
will
support
the
Foundation’s
multi-faceted
year-round
educational
programming
and lead
multiple
performances
during
Labor
Day
weekend.
