An
attendee tries out the Hyundai
racing challenge, playing a game
inside the North American
International Auto Show showroom on
Jan. 21, 2018 at Cobo Center in
Detroit. The show floor offers all
kinds of interactive displays for
attendees to immerse themselves in.
One of the most interesting was the
Hyundai Racing exhibit where you can
race a car around the virtual track.

-
Opening
day for
the 2018
NAIAS
offered
up some
of the
mildest
weather
seen in
years,
which
helped
boost
turnout,
when in
past
years
outside
temperatures
were
commonly
posted
at
sub-freezing
levels.
Organizers
said on
Sunday
that
attendance
for the
first
day of
the
Public
Show on
Saturday
was

increased
a few
thousand
more

year.
At
opening
weekend
auto
show
goers
had the
opportunity
to see
up-close
the
vehicles
and
technologies
that
will
shape
the
future
automotive
landscape.
From
muscle,
AV's and
EV's, to
high-performance
supercars
and
full-size
trucks,
NAIAS
has
something
for
everyone
to
enjoy.
“What a
memorable
experience
as
chairman
to walk
the show
floor
and
witness
the
excitement
and
enjoyment
from
those
attending
our
world-class
show,”
said
Ryan
LaFontaine,
2018
NAIAS
chairman.
In
the week
leading
up to

was
AutoMobili-D-Future
Automotive
Career
Exposition
(FACE)

in
working
in all
aspects
of the
mobility
industry
with

companies.
FACE was
free of

Earlier
this
year,
Gov.
Rick
Snyder
said,
"The
auto
industry,
like
others,
faces
challenges
in
filling
jobs it
needs to
further
grow and
innovate.
The
NAIAS is
the
perfect
place
for
people
who love
cars and
have
in-demand
skills
to
connect
with
industry
representatives
looking
for
talent."
