DEARBORN
– Zoom

will
begin

at
Detroit
Metropolitan
Wayne
County
Airport
March 1.
All
drivers
have
gone
through
a
rigorous
approval
process
that
includes
background
checks
and
vehicle
inspections
and are
ready to
begin as
Zoom
Ride
drivers.
“We
are
pleased
to begin
service
at
Detroit
Metro
Airport
and look
forward
to
serving
passengers
across
southeast
Michigan
by
mid-March,”
said
Bilal
Hashwi,
founder
and
chairman,
Zoom
Ride.
Basel
Yasin,
founder
and CEO
of Zoom
Ride,
added,
“In
direct
competition
with
Uber
Technologies
and Lyft
Line,
Zoom
Ride
will
fill
gaps in
the
current
ride-share
marketplace
by
improving
customer
and
driver
safety
and
increasing
income
for
drivers.”
Zoom
Ride
leaders
met with
hundreds
of
drivers
on
Saturday,
Feb. 15,
to
present
exciting
news and
collaborations,
including
an
exclusive
partnership
with 313
Presents.
This
gives
Zoom
Ride
high
profile
visibility
and
access
to DTE
Energy
Music
Theatre
and
Michigan
Lottery
Amphitheatre
at
Freedom
Hill.
313
Presents
also
oversees
entertainment
operations
at
several
Detroit-area
venues
including
Little
Caesars
Arena
and the
Fox
Theater.
“DTE
recently
was
named
the
number
one
concert
venue in
the
world,
and we
are
pleased
to
partner
with
Zoom
Ride to
further
enhance
our
services
to
concert
goers at
both DTE
and
Freedom
Hill for
the 2020
concert
season,”
Andrew
Pitlock,
Entertainment
Partnership
Sales
Manager
at 313
Presents,
told
drivers.
To
advance
ease of
passengers
getting
to the
venues
there
also
will be
a Zoom
Ride
lane and
concierge
services
for drop
off and
scheduling
a
pick-up.
Zoom
Ride is
partnering
with
Belle
Tire,
which
provides
safety
inspections
for
driver
vehicles,
and with
Sprint,
which
offers
phone
discounts
for
drivers.
“The
uniqueness
of our
services
and
safety
measures
supersede
what is
currently
offered
in the
market,”
Yasin
told
drivers.
“Female
passengers
will
have the
opportunity
to
request
female
drivers
and a
24/7
call
center
provides
live
operator
assistance
for both
the
passenger
and the
driver.”
“The
user-friendly,
Zoom
Ride app
has
functions
not
available
by its
competitors.
The app
displays
photos
and
names of
both the
driver
and the
passenger
as a
safety
precaution,”
Yasin
continued.
“Loved
ones
will
also be
able to
track a
passenger’s
travels
from
beginning
to end
for
added
safety
and
security.”
