15th
annual
Paul W.
Smith
Golf
Classic
raised
just
over
$470,000
net,
bringing
the
total
financial
contribution
to
nearly
$6.5M
net
since
2004.
Monies
go
directly
to three
charities
including
Detroit
PAL, The
Children's
Center
and
Variety
the
Children’s
Charity
of
Detroit.
Monies
raised
go to
support
programs
that
impact
40,000
youth.
The
Paul W.
Smith
Golf
Classic,
held at
the
historic
Detroit
Golf
Club,
featured
a day of
golf,
camaraderie
and
dining
and was
attended
by 270
corporate
and
community
representatives.
Event
proceeds
were
raised
from
sponsorships
and
individual
contributions.

goal of
the
tournament
since
the
beginning
has
always
been the
check we
write
and the
kids who
benefit
from
it,"

Smith,

year we

overwhelmed
by the
commitment
and
generosity
of the

and the

caring
individuals

us raise
nearly

net
proceeds."
