Detroit
community
showed
overwhelming
support
of The
Children's
Center
through
record
sponsorship
of
AutoGlow
Detroit
Razzle
Dazzle.
Presented
by Ford
Motor
Company,
the
event,
which
featured
the
glamour
and
glitz of
the
Roaring
'20s,
netted
more
than
$250,000
for The
Children’s
Center.
The
Children’s
Center’s
president
and CEO,
Debora
Matthews,
said,
"Detroiters
have
been
generously
supporting
our work
with
vulnerable
children
and
families
for 85
years."
She
continues,
"Proceeds
from
AutoGlow
and
Charity
Preview
accelerate
our
ability
to
provide
life-changing
mental
health
services
to more
than
7,500
children
and
families
regardless
of their
ability
to pay.
We thank

making

and

Preview
2014 a
resounding
success."

event
was
hosted
by Lisa
& Bill
Ford and
Alan
Mulally
of Ford
Motor
Company.

event
builds
on more
than 82
years of
continuous
support
for The
Children’s
Center
from
Ford

Company
and
members
of the
Ford
family
since
its
founding
in 1929.
This
year,
several
new
event
features
created
excitement
and
generated
additional
revenue.
There
were
live
auctions
of two
paintings
by speed
painter
Dave
Santia.
There
was also
an
exclusive
onsite
AutoGlow
Delta
Air
Lines
Razzle
Dazzle
Raffle.
The
winning
ticket
for two
Business
Class
round-trip
tickets
from the
U.S. to
Europe,
courtesy
of Delta
Air
Lines,
was
drawn by
Ford
Motor
Company's
Group
Vice
President,
Human
Resources
and
Corporate
Services,
Felicia
Fields.
Nearly
1,000
guests
enjoyed
an
elegant
menu of
hors
d'oeuvres,
dinner
and
decadent
desserts
featuring
several
dishes
from the
era.
Guests
then
danced
to
Detroit's
Ben
Sharkey
Band.
The
all-new
2015
Ford Mustang
GT was
on
display
as well
as an
award-winning
1929
Ford
Model A.
The
automobiles
highlighted
the past
and
future
of the
industry,
which
has
been,
and
continues
to be, a
vital
component
of the
region.
