Diverse Workforce MeetUp at CES, Unites Company Leaders with Job Candidates

Opportunity to earn college loan relief credits and access to online learning and mentorship programs also available

(December 2019) – AdvancingDiversity.org, in partnership with MediaVillage and leaders of media, advertising and entertainment companies, will host the Advancing a Diverse Workforce Meet-Up during CES at the Las Vegas Park MGM on January 8, 2020 from 6:00 to 7:30pm.

The 3^rd Advancing Diversity MeetUp offers potential job candidates from a wide range of backgrounds and educational levels the opportunity to speak with leaders from more than 25 companies and organizations including Active International, AMC Networks, Ampersand, Ascential, Crown Media Family Networks, Empower, Facebook, Fox, Google, GOOD/Upworthy, Havas Media, Intel, Lifetime, MediaMath, MediaVillage, NBCU, Publicis Media, Spectrum Reach, Sundance Institute Theatre Program, Teads, Twitter, Univision, Viacom, The Walt Disney Company, WarnerMedia and Xandr.

“CES offers an opportunity to introduce our business to a spectrum of diverse candidates and educate them about the many opportunities available in media, advertising, marketing and entertainment,” said Jack Myers, Founder of MediaVillage and AdvancingDiversity.org, who has been at the forefront of diversity, inclusion and equality activism for more than two decades. “In addition to students and recent graduates, there are tech workers, educators, veterans, health care, retail and hospitality professionals who may be surprised at the wide variety of opportunities offered and the support programs available at both the entry-level and for more senior positions.”

AdvancingDiversity.org is promoting the MeetUp to CES attendees, through local and national media, and extensive outreach to colleges and organizations focused on diversity and inclusion. Attendance is free with advance registration at www.CES20.com.

Applicants who attend and later accept professional roles in media, advertising, marketing and entertainment companies will be eligible to earn college loan relief from the Advancing Diversity Financial Solutions Program and have access to accredited Advancing Diversity Online learning curriculum, mentorship connections and talent development programs.

The Advancing Diversity MeetUp is held in conjunction with the 3^rd Advancing Diversity Hall of Honors Induction Experience, which recognizes the industry’s most successful diversity, inclusion and equality programs.  2020 Advancing Diversity Hall of Honors inductees are The Female Quotient (Shelley Zalis), The Hershey Company (Jill Baskin), Sam’s Club (Tony Rogers), Publicis Media Americas (Tim Jones), ADCOLOR (Tiffany R.
