1983-93
for
Detroit
Mayor
Coleman
A.
Young.
He was
executive
assistant
for
public
affairs
from
1977-82
for
Michigan
Gov.
William
Milliken.
In
1998,
Berg
founded
the
Detroit-based
Berg
Muirhead
and
Associates
public
relations
firm and
served
as
counsel
to the
company
after it
was sold
in 2016
to
employees
Van Dyke
and
Marilyn
Horn.
Berg
is
survived
by his
partner,
Wanda
Brock;
son,
Erik;
daughters,
Melanie
Berg and
Lola
Kristina
Gibson-Berg;
sister,
Karen
Dolan;
brother,
Glenn;
and four
grandchildren.
