- The
Nuns on
the Bus
Tour
will
host a
public
speaking
program
in
Detroit
tomorrow,
Saturday,
October
20th.
Ahead of
the
election,
Nuns on
the Bus
are
traveling
across
the
country
to
educate
the
public
about
the
deceitfully-named
“Tax
Cuts and
Jobs Act
of
2017,”
including
to
congressional
districts
where
the
incumbent
voted in
support
of the
Republican
tax law.
The Nuns
on the
Bus Tax
Justice
Truth
Tour
launched
in Los
Angeles
on
October
8 and
ends
outside
Mar-a-Lago
with a
“Fiesta
for the
Common
Good” on
November
2. The
Nuns on
the Bus
schedule
in
Detroit
includes
a tour
of Cass
Community
Social
Services
Tiny
Homes
followed
by a
public
speaking
program
with
Sister
Simone
Campbell,
Executive
Director
of
NETWORK
Lobby
for
Catholic
Social
Justice,
Sister
Mary
Ellen
Lacy,
and
other
Nuns on
the Bus
representing
a
variety
of
religious
congregations.
