Michelle
Obama’s
much-anticipated
memoir
isn’t
coming
out
until
Nov. 13,
but we
now know
what its
cover
will
look
like.
The
former
first
lady
shared
it on
Instagram
on
Thursday.
The
cover
photo,
taken
earlier
this
year by
portrait
photographer
Miller
Mobley,
showcases
Obama’s
famously
big
smile as
she
leans
gently
toward
the
camera,
her
right
shoulder
bare.
(She
could be
making a
subtle
statement:
When she
was
first
lady,
some
faulted
her for
wearing
sleeveless
dresses.)
“Becoming”
will be
published
by the
Crown
Publishing
Group, a
division
of
Penguin
Random
House.
Crown
will
also
release
a memoir
by
former
President
Barack
Obama.
The
couple’s
book
deal was
rumored
to be
worth
$65
million.
Published
during
the
busy,
pre-holiday
season,
“Becoming”
will
come out
in 25
languages
around
the
world.
Obama
will
read the
audio
edition
of the
book.
Crown
said
that the
memoir
begins
with
Obama’s
upbringing
on the
South
Side of
Chicago
and
takes
readers
up to
and
beyond
her time
in the
White
House.
“With
unerring
honesty
and
lively
wit,”
Crown
said in
a
statement,
“she
describes
her
triumphs
and her
disappointments,
both
public
and
private,
telling
her full
story as
she has
lived it
— in her
own
words
and on
her own
terms.”
Obama
will
tour
with the
book,
both in
the
United
States
and
abroad.
Dates
have yet
to be
announced.
