  Fireworks to light the skies over Detroit June 25th, VIP Rooftop Party still the best experience

DETROIT - The annual Downtown Detroit Fireworks show gets better every year. And on Monday, June 25th you will have the best seat in town to view one of the largest displays of Fireworks in the world at the Parade Company’s Ford Fireworks VIP Rooftop Party. Celebrating 60 years of fantastic fireworks displays, this year get ready for some surprises. You will surely “Come Alive in the D!”(The 2018 Ford Fireworks theme) as you enjoy this spectacular Fireworks show.

If you haven’t experienced the Fireworks from the Rooftop party you are in for an unbelievable experience. Just in case you are a “Nye Sayer” and believe fireworks are for kids, you’ve got to see it to believe it. The Ford Fireworks are like no other, they bring out the kid in everyone.



Billed as one of the world’s largest and most magnificent fireworks displays it is indeed a grand site to behold. Thousands of people from in and around the state continue to come back every year to be a part of this magnificent display of lights, color, excitement and one of the most festive atmospheres you’ll experience this summer.

“It is an honor to be part of a tradition that has become an international signature for summer and the city,” said Jim Vella, president, Ford Motor Company Fund, the philanthropic arm of Ford Motor Company. “Few events bring families and communities together like fireworks, and we are proud to share the excitement of the Ford Fireworks with all the people of Detroit and southeast Michigan.”

The Ford Fireworks will light up the Detroit Skyline, and the theme this year, “Come Alive in the D!” is more than well suited for the grand display of colorful, bright fireworks. The Parade Company will bring in Zambelli Fireworks Internationale to feature more than 10,000 pyrotechnic effects visible for miles along the Detroit River. This year’s show will be choreographed again by the world-renowned Patrick Brault, who has designed pyrotechnic displays internationally, including the past Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

The Parade Company’s ongoing partnership with Ford includes presenting sponsorship of The Parade Company’s Official Rooftop Party during The Ford Fireworks. It also includes title sponsorship of one of Detroit’s premier events, Hob Nobble Gobble at Ford Field, and a strong presence in America’s Thanksgiving Parade® presented by Art Van.

Guests attending the event will experience live music with Your Generation in Concert rocking the main stage, food by Andiamo, games, giveaways and more for adults and kids alike. The Ford Fireworks can be viewed on WDIV-Local 4’s live broadcast beginning at 8 p.m. News/Talk 760 WJR will do a special radio simulcast throughout the event and provide up-to-the-minute traffic and weather information throughout the day.
