DETROIT
- The
snow is
gone,
but the
holiday
season
officially
kicked
into
gear on
November
22 when
Hob
Nobble
Gobble
welcomed
its
sold-out
crowd to
Ford
Field.
Kids and
adults
were met
by the
Parade
Company
greeters
with big
smiles
and
shout-outs
for the
spectacular
events
to come.
Everyone
was
decked
out in
holiday
style.
The
magic
began as
soon as
guests
stepped
on the
entrance
red
carpet.
Singing,
dancing,
camera
shots
and
gifts
were
showered.
That was
certainly
a good
sign of
exciting
things
to come.
The
football
arena
was
truly
transformed
with
rides,
food,
game
centers
and
numerous
prizes
waiting
to be
enjoyed.
Squeals
could be
heard
all over
the
place as
everyone
enjoyed
the
carnival
rides.
Bodies
were
spread
out
horizontally
on the
‘Cliff
Hanger’
as it
twirled
up and
around.
Meanwhile
the
‘Rising
to the
Top’
capsule
took
passengers
to the
top of
the
arena so
the
bubble
could
burst
and send
them
crashing
back
down to
the
floor
area.
These
were
just two
of the
many
exciting
ride
adventures.
The huge
smiles
said it
all when
the
rides
stopped
and the
riders
returned
to the
floor.
Of
course,
the game
areas
were
busy as
contestants
tried to
master
the
various
tasks in
order to
win the
life-sized
stuffed
animals.
Carnivals
would
not be
complete
without
food so
everyone
could
enjoy
the
usual
treats
that can
only be
found at
the
specialty
food
trucks
with the
huge
windows.
Large
appetites,
small
ones and
all in
between
could be
satisfied
at the
various
food and
drink
stations.
There
were so
many
things
to
choose
from
that it
was
rather
difficult
to
decide.
Eating,
drinking
and
entertainment
were the
highlights
of the
evening.
There
was
magic
throughout
the
place as
the
crowd
showed
its
appreciation.
It
was
absolutely
wonderful
to be in
Detroit
and to
be a
part of
a great
charitable
event.
Holidays
are all
about
family
whether
it is
personal
or
extended.
Let us
hope for
peace
and
harmony
throughout
the
season.
