DETROIT
– The
Detroit
Pistons

the
Milwaukee
Bucks at
home, at
Little
Caesars
Arena,
on April
20, in
the
third
game of
the
first
round of
playoffs,
and
Prior to
the
Saturday
night
header,
the
Bucks
beat
Detroit
twice,
to take
the 2-0
lead in
the
first-round
playoff
series.
Now,
Milwaukee
is only
one win
away
from
proceeding
to the
next
round.
Detroit
started
off
strong
with a
five-point
lead.
Luke
Kennard
made the
first
basket
of the
game.
The
Bucks
were
able to
take the
lead
with
8:45
left on
the game
clock.
The
Pistons
got the
lead
back
with two
three-point
jumpers
from
Reggie
Jackson
and
Wayne
Ellington,
13-10.
Andre
Drummond
and
Blake
Griffin
provided
the
assists,
respectively.

the
first
quarter,
but

managed
to tie
the game
up,
22-22.
The
Bucks
stole
the lead
towards
the very
end of
the
first
quarter,
which
ended
with the

32-24 in
Milwaukee’s
favor.
Teams
were
extremely
offensive
in the
second
quarter;
Griffin

with
9:27
left on
the game
clock.
Jackson

up with
another
three

one
point,
38-39.

in
Milwaukee’s
confident
lead,

the

very
aggressive,

a lot of
fouls on
each
other.
Detroit
kept
resisting
the
opponent
in the
last
quarter
and were
only
able to
shorten
up the
Bucks’
lead to
15
points.
The
Pistons
suffered
their
third
loss to
their
first-seeded
opponent,
103-119.
Head
coach
Dwayne
Casey
said in
the
post-game
press
conference:
“We made
some
uncharacteristic
mistakes,
but
that’s
what the
playoffs
are all
about.
Thar’s a
part of
growth,
their
team
[Milwaukee]
is the
team
that
makes
you pay
for the
mistakes
that you
make.”
“I
liked
the way
our guys
continued
to
fight,
we got
close at
one
point,
but in
playoff
basketball
you
don’t
get
forgiven
for your
mistakes,”
he
added.
Saturday’s
top-scorer,
Blake
Griffin,
said
that he
didn’t
quite
understand
the
crowd’s
reaction
towards
Drummond
throughout
the
game,
when his
teammate
was in
times of
struggle.
“He
[Drummond]
has
played
hard for
this
entire
franchise
for many
years
now, we
wouldn’t
be where
we are
right
now
without
him,” he
stated.
Next,
the
Pistons’
fate in
the
playoffs
2019
will be
decided
in the
fourth
game of
this
round,
at home
on
Monday,
April
22. The
Bucks
need one
more win
to
continue
into the
next
round.
