Highlights
Flag
Raising
Ceremony:
At 8:00
a.m.,
members
of the
Detroit
Public
Schools
Community
District’s
Western
High
School
JROTC
will
raise
the
American
and U.S.
Army
flags in
a moving
tribute
to the
Army’s
enduring
legacy.
A brief
program
will
follow,
commemorating
the
Army’s
rich
history
and
unwavering
commitment
to
defending
our
nation
for 250
years—one
year
older
than the
nation
itself.
Honoring
Service
&
Sacrifice:
As we
mark
this
historic
milestone,
we honor
the
generations
of
Soldiers
whose
courage
and
dedication
have
safeguarded
freedom
from the
Revolutionary
War to
today’s
global
missions.

After
the
ceremony,
the
celebration
continues
at
Spirit
Plaza,
where
you can:
