will
kick off
the
Brightmoor
Music
Series
(BMS) on
Tues.,
July 20
and will
run to
its
finale
Sept.
11,
2021.
The BMS
will be
held at
the
Etheldra
Mae
Williams
Park,
14300
Burgess
St.,
Detroit,
MI,
48223,
an area
known as
Brightmoor.
The BMS
will
feature
primarily
local,
well-known
artists
representing
several
genres
of
musical
talent:

Park,
located
on a
once
block
long of
blight,
is now a
beautiful
spacious
grassland
that has
been
repurposed
into an
aesthetically
pleasing,
environmentally
friendly
space
designed
for
recreational
use. The
park is
managed
by
Williams
Alliance
Association,
Inc.
BMS
Event
Producer
Dawn
Patterson,
the
founder
of I am
My City,
said,
Once I
learned
the
history
of the
area and
what
this
park
will
mean for
the
Brightmoor
community,
I was
elated
to come
on board
to help
bring
the
Brightmoor
Music
Series
activation
to
communities
around
Detroit
to
enjoy.
This is
truly
not the
Brightmoor
you once
knew.
There is
open
seating
and
guests
are
encouraged
to bring
their
friends,
lawn
chairs
and
blankets.
Volunteers
are
needed
to
assist
with
seating
and may
leave a
message
at
