2025
Detroit
mayoral
race
intensifies,
residents
will
have an
opportunity
to hear
from
candidates
during
the “Run
the
City:
Detroit
Mayoral
Forum”
on May
15 from
5:30-8:30
p.m. at
the Boys
& Girls
Club,
16500
Tireman
Ave.
Hosted
by Our
Own Wall
Street,
Black
Women in
Michigan
Politics,
Cody
Rouge
Community
Action
Alliance,
and
Michigan
United,
the
forum is
designed
to
foster
transparent
dialogue
between
mayoral
hopefuls
and
Detroiters.
The
event
will be
a
moderated
discussion
on
critical
issues
such as
economic
development,
public
safety,
education,
housing,
and
community
investment.

isn’t
just
about
politics—it’s
about
the
future
of
Detroit,”

and

director
of Our

Street.
“We are
creating
a space
where
voters
can
engage
directly
with

hold
them
accountable,
and make
informed

organization

in youth

leadership

enrichment

and in

engagement

uniting
residents,
families,
and
local
organizations.
Michigan
United
Michigan

is a
broad,
statewide
coalition
dedicated

fighting

racial

economic

organization

leadership

and
advocacy

immigration

the
