Rev.
Charles

of
Hartford
Memorial
Baptist
Church,
shared,
“Hartford
Church
continues
to
respond
to an
ever-growing
need for
families
and
individuals
within
our
community.
We will
feed
nearly
1,000
people
through
our
annual
Holiday
Food
Basket
Program.”
Volunteers
will
also
distribute
warm
socks
and
other
essentials
to the
area's
large

On
Thanksgiving
Day,
following
the

fully

and
packed
for

to
people
living
on the

Hartford

directly
to the
homeless.
Deacon
Jimmy
Johnson
noted,
“Our

go to
street
corners,
freeway
exits,
under
bridges,
Cass
Corridor,
Belle
Isle,
and
areas
from the
far
Eastside
to
Southwest
Detroit.
We have
been
doing
this for
several
years
and have
it
organized
down to
the last
meal.”
Altogether,
Hartford

expects
to serve
more
than
