DETROIT
-
America’s
Thanksgiving
Parade
presented
by
Gardener
White is
a 95
year
tradition
in
Detroit.
A
tradition
that
gets
better
and more
exciting
each
year.
For
most,
the
Thanksgiving
Parade
is the
official
kick-off
of the
Holiday
Season.
Voted
America’s
Best
Holiday
Parade
by USA
Today in
2018 and
2019,
this is
a great
way to
begin
the
Holiday
season.
Have you
ever
wondered
what
really
goes on
behind
the
scenes
and what
goes
into
making
our
Thanksgiving
Parade
an
overwhelming
success.
It’s the
people,
the
staff
and
committed
volunteers
that
work
tirelessly
all year
long to
make our
parade
one of
the
best.
“We’re
moving
as fast
as
humanly
possible
with all
of our
partners,
our
sculpting
artist,
volunteers,
and our
team is
ready to
go. Our
team
does
such a
great
job,”
comments
Tony
Michaels,
President
and CEO,
The
Parade
Company.
“Our
theme
this
year is
“Love on
Woodward.”
With the
COVET
situation
still
going on
we’re
able to
give
love and
a great
feeling
back to
a great
city,
“Love on
Woodward”
is
perfect.”
Each
year
there’s
a new
and
creative
float
added to
the
parade.
This
year
General
Motors
unveiled
their
new
float
titled
“Everybody
In.”
According
to the
Parade
Company,
The
“Everybody
In”
float
was
built by
the
Parade
Company
and is a
celebration
of GM’s
brand
campaign
to
advance
an
emissions-free
future
and
progressive
company
vision
that is
inclusive
and
accessible
to all.
The
company
is
committed
to
delivering
on its
goal in
creating
a world
with
zero
crashes,
zero
emissions
and zero
congestion.
The
animated
front
piece of
the
float
provides
a nod to
their
significant
work in
our
community
by
highlighting
some of
their
important
nonprofit
partners.
The
float
also
features
notable
buildings
and
landmarks
from
downtown
Detroit
throughout.
“We have
this
amazing
tradition
in our
city and
for
nearly a
century,
America’s
Thanksgiving
Parade
presented
by
Gardner
White
has
brought
our
community
together
in a
very
special
way,”
Michaels
continues.
“We are
elated
to have
these
exceptional
individuals
joining
us on
Woodward
Avenue
and
across
much of
America
on
Thanksgiving
morning.”
