DETROIT - The Detroit Auto Show and the Detroit Grand Prix are excited to announce a new partnership for the 2025 Auto Show, featuring Racing Day presented by the Detroit Grand Prix on Friday, January 17. This collaboration between two iconic Detroit brands aims to unite racing and automotive enthusiasts for an exhilarating day of high-speed excitement. The Detroit Auto Show will take place from January 10-20, 2025, at Huntington Place in Detroit, with schedules available at detroitautoshow.com.

This new alliance between two of the Motor City’s most popular events will include two interactive display areas by the Detroit Grand Prix throughout the 2025 Detroit Auto Show: one in the concourse area at Huntington Place, which is free and open to the public during regular Auto Show hours, and another “trackside” on the show floor.

For the first time in its history, the Detroit Auto Show will feature two indoor tracks, providing an even more immersive experience for attendees. One of the tracks will include signature elements of the street circuit that will come alive on the streets of Downtown Detroit from May 30 to June 1 during the next Detroit Grand Prix.

The Detroit Grand Prix-themed track will be active throughout the 2025 Detroit Auto Show, and on January 17, it will be exclusively dedicated to Racing Day programming. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience the intersection of automotive innovation and competitive motorsports. This special track programming will celebrate the heritage of the Grand Prix and racing in the Motor City.

“The Detroit Grand Prix embodies innovation and the spirit of Detroit,” said Sam Klemet, Co-Executive Director of the Detroit Auto Show. “We're thrilled to partner with the Detroit Grand Prix and bring the exciting experience of Racing Day to the 2025 Detroit Auto Show.”

“We're excited to partner with the Detroit Auto Show and bring together two beloved traditions of Detroit,” said Michael Montri, President of the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear. “For many years, Racing Day was a popular attraction at the Detroit Auto Show, and we look forward to reviving this tradition with high-powered stars and impressive race cars taking center stage at the Detroit Grand Prix every summer.”

Racing Day, presented by the Detroit Grand Prix at the Detroit Auto Show, will breathe life into the streets of the Motor City at Huntington Place.

On Racing Day, attendees can interact with some of the top racing drivers competing in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and INDY NXT by Firestone, both of which race annually at the Detroit Grand Prix. Several stunning race cars will also be on display.

The Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix, presented by Lear, helps showcase the city on a global platform, shining a positive light on Detroit and connecting surrounding communities while generating millions in economic benefits. Racing Day will inject excitement into the winter months, turbocharging the Detroit Auto Show on January 17, 2025.

More announcements regarding Racing Day will be made in the coming weeks. For the latest news, visit detroitautoshow.com and follow on social media.
