	Smokey Robinson to serve as Grand Marshal for Detroit Grand Prix June 2 DETROIT, MI—Celebrating Detroit’s rich musical legacy, the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear announced today that Motown legend Smokey Robinson will serve as the event’s Grand Marshal on Sunday, June 2, to be honored before the big race. As Sunday’s Grand Marshal, Robinson will participate in pre-race ceremonies as the event pays tribute to his impact and his iconic career before the stars of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES take to the street circuit in Downtown Detroit. As the embodiment of music royalty, Robinson stands as a living testament to the global resonance of the Motown sound. His songwriting and producing talents helped springboard other Motown artists like The Temptations and Marvin Gaye.
