Grand
Prix
presented

today
that
Motown
legend
Smokey
Robinson
will
serve as
the
event’s
Grand
Marshal
on
Sunday,
June 2,
to be
honored
before
the big
race.
As
Sunday’s
Grand
Marshal,
Robinson
will
participate
in
pre-race
ceremonies
as the
event
pays
tribute
to his
impact
and his
iconic
career
before
the
stars of
the NTT
INDYCAR
SERIES
take to
the
street
circuit
in
Downtown
Detroit.
As
the
embodiment
of music
royalty,
Robinson
stands
as a
living
testament
to the
global
resonance
of the
Motown
sound.
His
songwriting
and
producing
talents
helped
springboard
other
Motown
artists
like The
Temptations
and
Marvin
Gaye.
