  New Zealand’s Scott Dixon wins the 2024 Streets Of Detroit NTT INDYCAR Race

DETROIT - Scott Dixon won the NTT INDYCAR SERIES race, beating Marcus Ericsson and taking the championship lead. Dixon praised his team's strategy and expressed his excitement at the victory.

Dixon's win also put him within nine victories of tying A.J. Foyt's record. His teammate, Alex Palou, is currently 18 points behind in the championship standings.

The race saw multiple caution periods, with Kyle Kirkwood and Alexander Rossi finishing fourth and fifth, respectively.

Dixon's victory was attributed to a strategic final pit stop and fuel-saving tactics, similar to his previous wins at Long Beach and World Wide Technology Raceway.

The race was not without its challenges, with Marcus Ericsson closing in on Dixon in the final laps. Ericsson expressed his satisfaction with his performance after a tough race at the Indianapolis 500.
