LANDOVER, MD – The Detroit Lions dominated the Washington Commanders 44-22 in Week 10 at Northwest Stadium, extending their streak of never losing consecutive regular-season games under coach Dan Campbell. Campbell took over offensive play-calling, leading the Lions to a season-high 546 total yards and scoring on each of their first eight drives.

Quarterback Jared Goff was sharp, completing 25 of 33 passes for 320 yards and three touchdowns without interceptions. Running back Jahmyr Gibbs was the offensive star, rushing for 142 yards and three touchdowns. Wide receivers Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams also caught touchdowns, overpowering a depleted Commanders secondary.

The Commanders struggled with significant injuries, including the absence of starting quarterback Jayden Daniels and several key wide receivers. Backup Marcus Mariota threw for 213 yards and two touchdowns but couldn’t turn the tide. Discipline issues also hurt Washington when defensive tackle Daron Payne was ejected for punching St. Brown.

Detroit took control early, jumping to a 14-3 lead in the first quarter and leading 25-10 at halftime. The Commanders never recovered as the Lions maintained a commanding advantage throughout.

The win improved Detroit’s record to 6-3 and kept them strong in the competitive NFC North. They prepare next to face the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. Washington fell to 3-7 and faces an upcoming international game against the Miami Dolphins.

President Donald Trump attended the game, making history as the first sitting president to attend a regular-season NFL game in nearly 50 years. However, his visit was met with boos from the crowd, which intensified during his halftime introduction and an on-field military ceremony. He left before the game’s conclusion.

This commanding victory showcased Detroit’s offensive resurgence and disciplined execution, highlighting key performances that energized the team’s playoff push.
