DETROIT - City and NCAA officials announced Thursday that Detroit will host a stop on the 2027 NCAA® Men’s Final Four® Fan Jam Tour, unveiling the plans during an April 9, 2026 press conference that kicked off the region’s year‑long buildup to the championship.

The Fan Jam Tour, a traveling fan‑engagement series leading up to the 2027 Men’s Final Four at Ford Field, will bring a full slate of basketball‑themed activities, entertainment, and community programming to Detroit. Organizers said the tour stop will feature interactive hoops stations, skills challenges, photo opportunities with NCAA® championship trophies, appearances by basketball personalities, and tournament‑themed giveaways.

Officials also highlighted youth clinics and outreach events aimed at expanding access to the sport and connecting Detroit communities to the excitement of March Madness®.

Local leaders said the Fan Jam Tour is an early momentum builder as Detroit prepares to welcome tens of thousands of visitors for the 2027 Final Four, an event expected to deliver a major economic boost across the region.

Specific details — including the Detroit location, schedule, and guest appearances — will be released as the NCAA and the Detroit Local Organizing Committee finalize plans
