moment

day on
Friday
at
Detroit
Golf
Club,
carding
a
hole-in-one
on the
par-3
fifth
hole
during
the
second
round of
the
Rocket
Classic.
Stepping
up to
the
156-yard
fifth,
Kuchar
flushed
a 9-iron
that
took
dead aim
at the
pin and
disappeared
into the
cup for
his
seventh
career
PGA Tour
ace.
Heartwarming
Fan
Moment
While
the shot
provided
a major
spark to
Kuchar’s
round,
the most
memorable
moment
occurred
right
after
the ball
dropped.
Instead
of
retrieving
the ball
himself,
Kuchar
motioned
to a
young
fan in
the
gallery,
inviting
him
inside
the
ropes to
pluck
the ball
out of
the cup.
Kuchar
then
signed
the
hole-in-one
ball and
handed
it to
the
ecstatic
boy.
"I saw a
little
boy that
was kind
of the
right
age
where
you know
they're
so
excited
to be
out
here,
just
very
impressionable,"
Kuchar
reflected
after
his
round.
"One of
those
things
where
it's
easy to
make
their
day. I
think
anytime
you get
to make
a kid's
day, it
makes
your
day."
The ace
helped
propel
Kuchar
to a
4-under
total
through
36
holes,
safely
securing
his spot
on the
weekend
leaderboard.
