DETROIT — The Rocket Classic Presented by AlumniFi will return to Detroit Golf Club from July 30-Aug. 2 with a slate of new fan activations, entertainment options and family-friendly amenities designed to expand the tournament experience beyond the course.

Tournament organizers announced Wednesday that this year’s event will include the debut of Rocket Dream Nine, an immersive nine-hole mini golf activation spread across three sites on the restored Detroit Golf Club layout. The fan zones will highlight Detroit’s design, music and food culture near the No. 2 green, No. 5 tee and No. 11 green.

A new gathering space, The Range presented by Bedrock, will also open Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The area will include a covered lounge, bar service, Adirondack chair viewing, a cigar lounge, a hole-in-one challenge and family activities such as caricature artists and face painters.

Live entertainment will continue at the Motown Museum Music Stage, where Hitsville NEXT and other local artists are scheduled to perform from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday after tournament play.

Food and beverage offerings will include returning specialty items tied to tournament champions, including the A.P. Gatsby Sandwich inspired by 2025 winner Aldrich Potgieter. Fans can also visit The Grove near holes 10 and 11, where Detroit-based Smokey G’s Smokehouse will serve menu favorites and the AlumniFi Zone will feature putting challenges and prize giveaways.

For adults 21 and older, the event will offer the Espresso Martini Lounge near the ninth green and the Classic Caddie cocktail served in a souvenir cup. During Rocket Classic Power Hour, alcoholic drinks at public concession stands will be discounted by $3.13, a nod to Detroit’s 313 area code.

Families will have access to additional perks, including complimentary meal vouchers for children 15 and under courtesy of United Dairy of Michigan.

Charity Row will spotlight local nonprofit partners including Black Tech Saturdays, Human-I-T, First Tee – Greater Detroit, College, Career & Beyond | Midnight Golf, the Detroit Police Athletic League and People for Palmer Park. Fans will also be able to test their game at the Long Game Lounge presented by Plante Moran Wealth Management and browse new vendors at the Rocket Classic Merchandise Tent.

Wednesday, July 29, will be marked as Detroit Community Day, with complimentary parking and admission for the Delta Dental Pro-Am and a youth clinic hosted by First Tee – Greater Detroit. Thursday’s opening round will be Bow Tie Day, honoring the memory of Nick Gilbert and raising awareness for neurofibromatosis.

Rocket also plans heat-relief amenities including Cool Zones and water stations throughout the course, along with expanded viewing areas around the 18th green for grounds pass holders.
