DETROIT
–
Kicking
off the
Season
of
Giving
presented
by
Kroger,
the
Detroit
Pistons—alongside
partners
Henry
Ford
Health
and
Michigan
State
University—will
provide
food and
essential
supplies
to
nearly
1,200
families
across
metro
Detroit.
The
organization
will
host its
annual
“Pistons
Give
Back”
event on
Thursday,
November
20, from
6–8 p.m.
at the
Henry
Ford
Detroit
Pistons
Performance
Center.
During
the
event,
400
pre-selected
families
will
receive
food and
essentials
packages.
This
private
event is
closed
to the
public.
In
addition
to the
in-person
distribution,
the
Pistons
will
deliver
another
800
packages
to local
community
partners,
including
Matrix
Human
Services,
Detroit
Public
Schools
Community
District
Health
Hubs,
and
Lighthouse
Outreach
Center,
for
further
distribution
to
families
in need.
Pistons
and
Motor
City
Cruise
players,
coaches,
staff,
and
employees
will be
on hand
to
distribute
shelf-stable
food,
hygiene
products,
and
other
essentials
provided
by Feed
the
Children.
Families
will
also
receive
frozen
turkeys,
gallons
of milk
from
Kroger,
and
special
giveaways
from
Pistons
partners.
This
impactful
initiative
is made
possible
through
the
generous
support
and
coordination
of the
Detroit
Pistons,
Kroger,
Feed the
Children,
Henry
Ford
Health,
Michigan
State
University,
BELFOR
Property
Restoration,
StockX,
Gatorade,
United
Dairy
Industry
of
Michigan,
McDonald’s,
Savvy
Sliders,
and
Delta
Dental.
