INDIANAPOLIS — Michigan overwhelmed Arizona from the start Saturday night, racing to an early double-digit lead and never letting the Wildcats get comfortable in a 91-73 Final Four win. The Wolverines used relentless defense, fast finishes at the rim, and a strong interior performance to keep control throughout the 40 minutes.

Key moments
A Roddy Gayle Jr. dunk with 6:22 left in the first half helped halt an Arizona run and sparked a Michigan push that widened the margin. Michigan led 48-32 at halftime and kept extending the gap after the break, while Arizona struggled to generate clean offense against the Wolverines’ paint protection.

Standout performers
Aday Mara delivered a career-high 26 points and nine rebounds for Michigan, powering the Wolverines inside. Koa Peat led Arizona with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Jaden Bradley added 13 points but was limited by foul trouble and extended garbage time.

What it means
The win sends Michigan to the national title game, where it will face UConn. It also continued a remarkable tournament run in which Michigan scored at least 90 points for the fifth straight NCAA tournament game.
